Frederick A Brown 1860

Synopsis.
When Frederick Alfred Brown was born about 1860, in Huntingford, Berkeley, Gloucestershire, his father, Joseph, was 40 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 35. He lost his mother when he was only 10. He had one brother and five sisters.

Frederick (sometimes known as Alfred) was born in Huntingford, Gloucestershire. in 1860.

Frederick is shown on the 1861 census as living with his parents and siblings in Huntingford. He is just 7 months old.

By 1871 what’s left of the family has moved to Swanley. He is living there with his father, his brother Joseph and a housekeeper, Sarah Watts. In this census, his father Joseph is shown as an ‘Under Gamekeeper”.

It’s at this point we lose Frederick Alfred Brown. In searching for him he gets lost in the plethora of people who may be the right one, without any way of knowing just which one he is.
